Guest Designer at The Outlawz

Hello friends,

I have the privilege of being a guest designer at The Outlawz this week in the Twisted Thursday challenge. Thursday's group is always 'anything goes' with a twist. If you play the twist you get to enter twice.

This week's sponsor is Bugaboo Digi Stamps and the twist is "lovely as a tree". I used this cute Bugaboo image and drew a tree trunk directly onto my card front.
I coloured my tree and image with coloured pens and Tombow markers. My background was made with Dollar store eye shadow. How cool is that. And fun. I used white and clear embossing powders for the snow and clear glitter glue for the icicles. My sentiment was hand written.

I printed two copies of the image so I could pop up the owl, who represents the birthday person. In this case, that is my brother-in-law who lives in snowy western Canada.
Bugaboo really knows how to create amusing images. I love how the other birds are looking at the owl.

Thanks for visiting my blog. I hope you will get the chance to have a play over at The Outlawz this week. They have a different challenge every day so there is something to spark the imagination of any paper crafter. Plus they are a wonderful bunch of gals who are always ready with an encouraging word.

Hugs & smiles,
Teresa

Lol Teresa, those little birdies are definitely too warm and snug on their little branch in the gorgeous tree, to even think of flying out.

Wow! You used some incredible and totally unique techniques on this card! Eye shadow? You definitely thought outside the box on that one and I adore the results! It made me want to dig out all of my old eyeshadow and get to work! I also loved how you drew your own tree-trunk. Nothing beats our own artwork, which definitely makes cards all the more special. You did an incredible job and I love how you personalized this for your brother-in-law. Hopefully he's staying warm-- just like your adorable little birds. Thanks for sharing your talents with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
